Node.js Engineer

Avenga is looking for a Node.js Engineer to join our team in Europe and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge Real Estate application on a full-time basis. The role involves participating in the development of a platform intended to link highly qualified buyers and sellers in the real estate market. The project aims to provide a competitive environment for both sides of real estate players and provide a way to successful deals on the market.

As a Node.js Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the application’s backend infrastructure using Node.js. Your expertise will help us deliver a seamless and efficient user experience for our customers.

What you bring along:

  • 4+ years of experience developing web applications using Node.js;
  • Strong proficiency with TypeScript;
  • Confidence in using Express.js (or other Node.js frameworks);
  • Working knowledge of AWS Lambda;
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Docker;
  • English – Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Prisma.js;
  • Familiar with Nest.js.

This is your mission: 

  • Build a new solution from scratch which is part of the wider internal ecosystem;
  • Write clean, maintainable, test-covered code and work with our product team;
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and consistency across the codebase;
  • Be involved in the entire product lifecycle including the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of new and existing features;
  • Share your technical solutions and product ideas with the team;
  • Contribute to the team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure.
